§  Easter EGGstravaganza : The Easter EGGSstravaganza is a springtime celebration for children and families, highlighted by the annual Easter Egg Hunt around the grounds of the Jones House. After storytelling and arts & crafts at the Watauga County Library, participants parade to the Jones House for Easter egg hunts. The hunts are divided into age groups so that all participants can share in the fun! Children up to age 10 can hunt for candy-filled eggs as well as a limited number of "golden eggs" that can be traded for a special prize.

§  Fourth of July - The annual Fourth of July Parade begins at Horn in the West Drive and travels down King Street in Downtown Boone and will conclude at Poplar Grove Extension. It's a fantastic celebration with floats from local businesses and organizations. And don't forget about all of our other exciting 4th of July activities around town.

§  Halloween Boone BOO! - The annual Downtown Boone Boo! is a special halloween treat. Beginning with arts and crafts at the Watauga Library, participants then parade over to the Jones House for tricks, treats, and a spooky haunted house. From the Jones House, participants are welcome to visit participating downtown merchants for trick-or-treating.

§  Winter Holidays - Each year in December, the Jones House is decked out in its holiday finest. Locally-grown live trees and greenery are brought in to enhance the antique beauty of the house. The lawn of the Jones House is also the perfect place to watch the annual Christmas parade go by. Come in out of the cold to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa or cider, check out the decorations and artwork.
